About the owner

He has done the job he's hiring for.

Abdiaziz Hilowle holds a Class A CDL. Before Sable Freight he owned and ran his own Minnesota trucking fleet and grew it. He qualified the drivers and handled DOT compliance and audits hands-on. He knows the job from the seat, not from a spreadsheet.

He also founded Golden Mile Driving School, a DVS-licensed driving school in St. Cloud, Minnesota, where he hired and trained the instructors and set the standard they teach to. Sable Freight is where those two things meet: trucking experience and the discipline to run a team.

What he believes

  • Safety first, always. No load is worth a preventable incident.
  • People over process. We build drivers, not just routes.
  • Ownership. We solve problems before they become anyone else's.
  • Consistency. Reliable performance every shift, every week, every season.
  • Community. We draw from, and invest back into, the communities our drivers call home.

His line, and the company's: treat CDL-A drivers like true professionals and they deliver like professionals.

How he runs it

  • A dispatcher from day one. You have one contact during every shift, a dispatch coordinator who tracks your load, answers the phone, and escalates anything that needs the owner. The owner's job is safety, hiring and people, not juggling twenty loads.
  • A set week. Out Sunday, home Thursday, the same every week. Drivers know when they're working and when they're going home.
  • You'll hear from him. Recognition when you perform, coaching when something slips, and a straight answer when you ask for one.
  • Paid for performance. Safety and performance bonuses. His words: you should get paid for your performance and your safety mindset.
